  • Product Specification

    Planning constraints data sets include: 

    • Rights of Way – Public rights of way are derived from the 'Public Rights of Way' and 'Other Public Access' sections on Ordnance Survey Explorer Maps from 2020. Coverage is for England, Wales & Scotland.

          Built Heritage

    • Listed Buildings – Identifies Listed Buildings within England, as supplied by English Heritage, and within Scotland as supplied by Historic Scotland. Grades:
      • Grade 1 buildings are of exceptional interest, sometimes considered to be internationally important. 2.5% of listed buildings are Grade I. 
      • Grade II buildings are particularly important buildings of more than special interest. 5.5% of listed buildings are Grade II. 
      • Grade III buildings are nationally important and of special interest. 93% of all listed buildings are in this class and it is the most likely grade of listing for a home owner.
    • Scheduled Monuments – Nationally important archaeological sites protected under the UK's current Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979. The Scheduled Monument areas of England have been supplied by English Heritage and these records were derived from the Old County datasets (OCN), and the Monuments Protection Programme (MPP). The schedule currently has an approx. 22,000 entries.
    • World Heritage Sites – Places of international importance for the conservation of universal, cultural and natural heritage. There are 27 World Heritage Sites in the UK including Stonehenge, Kew Gardens, Canterbury Cathedral and Hadrian’s Wall. 
    • Historic Battlefields – The English Heritage Register of Historic Battlefields identifies 43 important English Battlefields. The purpose of the register is to offer protection and to promote a better understanding of their significance.
